Stayed here in November 2016. The welcome to the site was excellent. This site is bigger than it looks. You only realise this when you are here, but saying that, units are not on top of each other. Nicely spaced pitches, with plenty of room. It did rain heavily while we stayed here, and our hard standing pitch became a bit water logged overnight. This was nothing major, and did drain away over the following day. I think this is to be expected in November when it rains for 12 hours non stop! Toilet & shower block was toasty warm day & night, which was welcomed given the daytime temp was pretty low. They are also spotlessly clean :) The only improvement I would suggest is to revise the cleaning times. They closed at 10:30-12:00, which was slap bang when I wanted a shower! There are other showers available when one block closes for cleaning (multiple shower blocks), so just wasn't a mega issue, but just an improvement for consideration. All in all, we had a lovely weekend, and really enjoyed our stay on this site. I would definitely come back (and will do!)

It was very cold when we stayed on the site but the toilet block was lovely and warm. An interesting site with varied levels and areas and lovely scenery from some sections. Guess it would get very busy at peak times. The access back to the busy main road was difficult. We couldn`t cross to the far lane to the M6 so had to turn left till we had a chance to turn back.

Found that mop heads had been dried in one of the machines.

Found that mop heads had been dried in one of the machines. This is not what I expected to see in a laundry facility on a CC&C site. The mops would have been used to clean the toilets, not what I would want to do my laundry in! Think you need to sort something more appropriate out to wash and dry these items.

The staff were extremely accommodating, friendly and hard working. We visited the tree top climb in Brokholes and can't recommend it enough for families, great day out. We visited Ambleside (cakes from Apple pie bakery are amazing) and Newby bridge, Swan hotel 5* food and gorgeous surrounding, great for dog owners. Ready camp facilities on site are excellent too. Been before and will be back very soon. ??????
