A secluded and peaceful family run site with 2 acres of private woodland. Campers are encouraged to collect their own firewood and fire baskets are provided for their enjoyment. Within walking distance to a real ale pub the campsite accommodates motorhomes, caravans and tents. The tree lined hardstandings are spacious, all with water and electric hookups. The campsite also offers modern toilet and shower facilities. Once a prolific Iron Ore mining area, it is possible to see how nature has reclaimed the old mines in thesurrounding fields. Mouzell campsite is only a 5 minute drive to the South Lakes Wild Animal Park. The campsite is the idealbase to explore the sandy beaches and nature reserves on the coast as well as the South and WestLake District National Park. Alternatively, stroll through the grounds of the ancient Furness Abbey. Take a short ferry trip to Piel Island, drink with the ‘King of Piel’ then look out for seals on North Walney Nature Reserve. Visit the castle in Dalton in Furness or take a short drive to the market town of Ulverston, visit the many quaint shops along its cobbled streets and hike up to the Hoad monument.
