Lovely Site, Clean, Quiet easy access We stayed here for 3 nights over a weekend in august 17, lovely site, the farmer that runs the site was friendly and helpful, even saw him out and about doing his work moving sheep and cows via quad bike, he was waving at the children on the site that were watching him with a smile on his face. The site itself is a fairly small field but plenty enough space per pitch, which btw are hard standing, some are attached via hard standing to the path, some via a small amount of grass in between, however it rained somewhat on the one of the days we were there and the grass still felt solid and was showing no signs of it being difficult to drive/town on. The facilities are good, kept very clean, the toilets show and information area are all in one building, information on one side, two toilets and a shower on the other (toilets are unisex cubicles), And they always had hot water in the taps, and the shower. The site was full when we were there but did not have to fight over the toilets or the showers. There are only two things that i could comment on with regards to this site in any kind of negative manner, the approach is very easy via a large two way traffic road up to the 1/4 mile road that leads to the camp site, it is a quiet road (never met another car on it), but single lane (verges are wide and flat thought). And as i said earlier the camp site is not huge, so if you turn up late like i did and the site is full, all bar your pitch, your manoeuvring space is limited, however i managed it and I'm new to towing, so a more experienced tower would have not problem. for those that it matters to, we had a good 3g signal on three, and 4g on EE. Not much noise from the nearby airport either. if your looking for the entrance on google maps (statelite view), its the field to the south of the main farm buildings, and to the left of the farmers house (right on the corner)

This wee site punches well above its weight.

This wee site punches well above its weight. Hard standings are bang on level, well drained and weed free. Toilet block is unisex and squeaky clean. Good shower and lean-to washing up area and a decently stocked information room. Hook ups are good and there is a chemical disposal area at the other end of the site from the main facilities. Good views over rolling countryside and easy access to Carlisle, Siloth etc and handy for M6. Have used it many times and never disappointed. Andrew, owner/farmer is all you would hope for, decent friendly and remarkably helpful. I have yet to find a wee site to equal this one.

Excellent site, very friendly family, great facilities. Easy to tow to. Perfectly situated in beautiful countryside, within easy reach of Carlisle. Hadrian's Wall passes just behind the farm, so great for walking. The site is level, with 5 excellent hardstanding pitches and plenty of space for tents. There are clean toilets and showers in a warm block. We have already booked to return next month!
