Overview

    Top site for cycling

A campsite dramatically located right on the edge of the country, on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall.

Situated on the Land’s End Penninsula, within a few miles of both the north and south coasts of Cornwall, is where you’ll find our pretty Sennen Cove Club campsite. Although a couple of miles north of Sennen Cove, the campsite does enjoy sea views over the cove from some pitches.

Gwynver Beach is a 25 minute walk from the campsite. The beach at Sennen is a 45 minute walk away from the campsite. From there, the energetic can walk over the coastal path to Land’s End, another 90 minutes away. Land’s End is England’s most westerly point and, as well as spectacular scenery, there are many family attractions including a 4D film experience and the Monsters of the Deep exhibition. Back in Sennen Cove you can learn to surf.

Our tranquil campsite has 72 pitches and all the facilities you need - a small play area for the kids, and a playing field for ball games; a small shop selling the basics, a laundry with washing machine and dryer with an iron and ironing board also available and an indoor washing up area.

The south coast of the peninsular offers Gwenver and Porthcurno, also the Telegraph Museum and the Minack cliff top theatre and Penzance with its historic harbour areas. Also, pretty out-of-the-way fishing coves, including Penberth, Mousehole and Newlyn, with its fish festival at the end of August.

North from the campsite, a pretty but very narrow, windy road leads through St. Just and Pendeen. There are some excellent walks around the old mine workings near to Botallack and the Geevor Mine, for those with an interest in this part of Cornwall's industrial past. Further afield, via Zennor, the pretty, but very busy, fishing port of St Ives with its Tate Gallery of modern art is worth a visit

This site is lovely. Not too large, quiet and secluded, with a warm welcome.

This site is lovely. Not too large, quiet and secluded, with a warm welcome. We like to use local buses and walk when possible, but we are not hikers! The local bus was superb! It ran on time and the bus stop was just at the end of the short lane, but you do not have to worry about that because they drop you off and pick you up at the site entrance! The double decker bus goes to Sennen Cove, Lands End, Penzance, St Just and St Ives and is a very exciting ride! We had a lovely walk to Sennen Cove and good food in the pub, but got the bus back up the hill! We bused to St Just, again good food and walked to Cape Cornwall. Then had an exciting ride to and from a day out in St Ives. The site is very well maintained and the only small downside is that it could do with more showers, but hey, you are on holiday - relax and queue for a short while if you have to.

I really enjoyed my stay at this campsite.

I really enjoyed my stay at this campsite. The staff were very friendly when I arrived and showed me around, they even gave me a choice of which pitch I'd like to stay on. They were also friendly throughout my stay. The facilities are cleaned regularly. The only thing I would say about them is that they only have 3 showers. I found myself (and 2 others) queueing at one point to have a shower. This may have been a one off as it was a mother and her two daughters that were in there, all at the same time. Bathroom facilities are open 24 hours too, which is good news for the non self contained vehicles. There is a washing machine and seperate dryer that are coin operated. 3.50 per wash, 1 for 20 mins drying. There is also an area to wash your dishes and plenty of leaflets for local attractions and activities. There is a little shop in the reception area. This is only open when it's manned and seems that it's only manned when the staff need to do something in reception. There is a doorbell, should you need to grab their attention. The pitch was big enough for me, I don't have an awning but would have had room to put one up. Water taps are located at certain points throughout the campsite. Big waste bins provided by the facilities building. Was surprised to see that only glass got recycled. I didn't find any other bins for tins, cans, paper or plastics. Well maintained pitches and I didn't see anyone using chocks. The Atlantic Coasters bus drops off right outside the campsite, should you wish to get the bus to the beach. I cycled to the beach, which took no time at all, except going up the hill getting out of Sennen Cove. Phone signal worked pretty well at the campsite too. Overall, really happy with my stay.
