We stayed for 6 nights in our tent.

This review is for Cherry Cottage

We stayed for 6 nights in our tent. On arrival we received a lovely warm welcome from Chris who gave us a tour of the facilities. It was quiet when we arrived so we could pick the pitch we wanted. The washing up and toilet facilities were spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including fridge and freezer. There's a ladies shower room and one for the gents plus a disabled access wet room which doubles as a 2nd ladies shower room, all with plenty of hot water and heating so they were nice and warm. Plenty of hooks to hang your clothes and towels on too! Hand dryers are in the kitchen area. There's lots of local information leaflets available and a few books to borrow if you want to read. The fresh eggs we bought were lovely! The grounds are nicely landscaped and well maintained. Across the road is a garage for any basics but it's quite expensive, a better option is the co-op a short walk down the road into Camelford. The site also has recycling facilities. We are looking forward to returning here for our next camping trip.

We have just returned from 5 nights at this wonderful site.

This review is for Cherry Cottage

We have just returned from 5 nights at this wonderful site. The owners are very welcoming and keep the site and its facilities spotless. The pitches are well spaced out giving each unit plenty of room, the field is protected from wind by trees and shrubs which also keep road noise to a minimum. This site is a gem and we will be returning.

This site is probably one of the best CS's around.

This review is for Cherry Cottage

This site is probably one of the best CS's around. It is really peaceful and resides in its own field just off the A39. There is very little road noise, and the site is landscaped, with large pitches. The owner has had reinforced mesh added to the main drive ways such that even if it gets wet, it should be easy to get on and off. The site owners are super friendly, an the shower/toilet block/dish washing area is spotless. There is even a fridge for campers to use. Right outside the entrance is a garage with a well stocked Londis making getting the essentials easy. Accross the site and down the hill is a river walk into camelford (you can go down the road if desired) which is great for taking the dog for a walk on a hot day! It takes about 20minutes to get into camelford, which has a couple of pubs and takeaways as well as a few shops including a chemist. Most of the shops/cafes are dog friendly (As is most of cornwall). There is a bus from camelford to local attractions such as Tintagel, Boscastle, Port Issac (Doc Martin) etc. Fares are £6 return pp. If you have a car parking seems really cheap, with many car parks charging £1 for the day. Most beaches are dog friendly as well. If I were to have one minor criticism of the site it would be that hookups are only 6amp, which may cause issues if you use electric heaters.

I nearly didn't leave a review- I didn't want anyone else to find this little gem.

I nearly didn't leave a review- I didn't want anyone else to find this little gem. We have been to dozens of camp sites and can honestly say this is THE BEST. We booked for 5 nights and went away for 2 nights and came back for another 7 nights. Spotlessly clean, and real pleasure to have a shower. The owner is so friendly and the new laid eggs are a bonus. TV in the washing up area is good, as you can pop in for a weather update. Piped music in the showers is relaxing. Added bonus is the Camelford Community Laundrette - worth a visit if you are away long enough (we were).
