An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the North Cornish coast

You’ll find some of north Cornwall’s best bathing and surfing beaches within easy reach of our Bude Club campsite. The campsite boasts a prime location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Boscastle and Crackington Haven. Bude lies nine miles to the north, while south are Tintagel and Camelford.

After a day spent soaking up the sun on the beach our Bude campsite is the perfect place to sit back and relax and enjoy the fantastic views over rolling countryside. Bordered by hedges, the campsite has a separate field and you’ll find a recreation room in the facilities block and a small children’s play area opposite reception to keep younger campers entertained while on site.

There’s a pleasant walk to Crackington Haven over fields and stiles from site where you’ll find a sandy beach and an abundance of rock pools. The nearby fishing port of Boscastle is worth visiting. Learn about the legend of King Arthur in Tintagel, enjoy a cliff top walk to the castle ruins and Merlin’s Cave. Just south of Tintagel Trebarwith Strand is a popular surfing beach and dog-friendly. Port Isaac, made famous by TV’s Doc Martin and Boscastle, a delightful fishing port with white washed cottages, steep narrow streets and alleyways, should not be missed.

North of Bude campsite, Widemouth Bay and Blackrock Sands is fabulous for surfing and sunbathing.

I agree that you can hear the road but only really noisy 7-9am.

I agree that you can hear the road but only really noisy 7-9am. The upside is that you are able to get places quicker. The shower block is older than some but kept spotless and what a joy not to keep pressing a button every few seconds to keep the water running. The local walk was a gem and the main road part over in a few minutes. If you are planning to get the bus back up read the timetable carefully and be prepared for a longer walk along the A39. As a camper the recreation rooms were a great addition, especially as we set up in the rain and could wait in there for drier spells. All in all it was a perfect site for our holiday and I would recommend you visit and make up your own mind.

Would not describe this site as being located in bude as it is 8 miles from Bude. The noise of the A road was very noticeable in a tent, but may not be such an issue in a caravan

Good location for accessing all areas of Cornwall and Wardens gave lots of information on area.

Good location for accessing all areas of Cornwall and Wardens gave lots of information on area. Lovely pitch despite the rain. Facilities always clean despite wet and muddy conditions at times. Showers were nice and hot and powerful (no push buttons). We appreciated the fact that facilities were cleaned in the afternoon rather than in the morning - a far better time in our opinion. Fabulous walk to Crackington Haven despite the initial 100yds along the main road. Didnt really notice any road noise.
