An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the North Cornish coast

You’ll find some of north Cornwall’s best bathing and surfing beaches within easy reach of our Bude Club campsite. The campsite boasts a prime location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Boscastle and Crackington Haven. Bude lies nine miles to the north, while south are Tintagel and Camelford.

After a day spent soaking up the sun on the beach our Bude campsite is the perfect place to sit back and relax and enjoy the fantastic views over rolling countryside. Bordered by hedges, the campsite has a separate field and you’ll find a recreation room in the facilities block and a small children’s play area opposite reception to keep younger campers entertained while on site.

There’s a pleasant walk to Crackington Haven over fields and stiles from site where you’ll find a sandy beach and an abundance of rock pools. The nearby fishing port of Boscastle is worth visiting. Learn about the legend of King Arthur in Tintagel, enjoy a cliff top walk to the castle ruins and Merlin’s Cave. Just south of Tintagel Trebarwith Strand is a popular surfing beach and dog-friendly. Port Isaac, made famous by TV’s Doc Martin and Boscastle, a delightful fishing port with white washed cottages, steep narrow streets and alleyways, should not be missed.

North of Bude campsite, Widemouth Bay and Blackrock Sands is fabulous for surfing and sunbathing.

having spent a week at the Darmouth site, Bude was a huge disappointment.

having spent a week at the Darmouth site, Bude was a huge disappointment. The site looks tired and dated with minimum showers, the toilets were in the same area and faced the showers. The road noise at night I found disturbed my sleep, and the site is too close to a busy road. The dog area was an open ended strip and dogs had to stay on their leads so totally unsuitable. I was told that I could walk my dogs in a busy layby, next to a very fast road. For a number of reasons I will not be going back to this site, I especially disliked being shouted at across the site to ' put that dog on a lead' when I had taken him off his lead to put him in the van as I was going out, and my neighbour in the next van offered my dog a biscuit. I know my dog should have been on his lead as they are the rules, but to be shouted at across the site was in my opinion unacceptable. .

Lovely site with friendly & helpful wardens.Very clean and tidy. The downside is that for dog owners the nearest off the lead walking is 500 metres away along a very busy A road. No,direct access from the site. There is no bus service within walking distance. We still enjoyed our stay.
