With an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Bathing and surfing beaches within easy reach

The surrounding area

You’ll find some of north Cornwall’s best bathing and surfing beaches within easy reach of our Bude Club campsite. The campsite boasts a prime location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Boscastle and Crackington Haven. Bude lies nine miles to the north, while south are Tintagel and Camelford.

There’s a pleasant walk to Crackington Haven over fields and stiles from site where you’ll find a sandy beach and an abundance of rock pools. The nearby fishing port of Boscastle is worth visiting. Learn about the legend of King Arthur in Tintagel, enjoy a cliff top walk to the castle ruins and Merlin’s Cave. Just south of Tintagel Trebarwith Strand is a popular surfing beach and dog-friendly. Port Isaac, made famous by TV’s Doc Martin and Boscastle, a delightful fishing port with white washed cottages, steep narrow streets and alleyways, should not be missed.

North of Bude campsite, Widemouth Bay and Blackrock Sands is fabulous for surfing and sunbathing.

If in the area we would definetly suggest visiting the cornwall at war museum. The site is very conveniently located for other places such as boscastle, tintagel and a slightly longer drive to bodmin.

Lovely site, a little boggy in wet weather.

Lovely site, a little boggy in wet weather. Not ideal if your dog doesn't like main roads as you have to walk on it to get anywhere. Close to loads of lovely areas for walks. We'd definitely come back if we wanted to stay in this area! the staff were lovely, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Even chatted to you on their day off!

Karen and Richard made us very welcome and always had time for a chat. And we felt went above and beyond their normal roll. As far as assistants go they where that good we felt we had to leave a review having never done so before. Although we have never left a review before we have been to a number of sites up and down the country. The site itself was kept to a very high standard. The loo block was always very clean. It Was a good base for days out either shopping or site seeing or even a day at the beach. Local pub a short cycle ride away was always good for a very nice dinner.

Overall it is a rather nice site.

This review is for Bude

Overall it is a rather nice site. Nice welcome from staff upon arrival and all the staff are great. The site is well spread out giving you plenty of space which is nice as some places we have been have been quite crammed together. There is a small shop on site for the basics. Toilet/shower facilities are adequate and clean. Site is well located; few minutes drive to the nearest beach, 10 minute drive to Bude itself and fairly close to lots of attractions/places to go. The only downside is that it is situated right off of a busy main road which produces some fairly substantial road noise. It's ok during the day as your doing things and don't really notice it, but at night especially when trying to sleep it is so noisy. I recon you'd get a quieter nights sleep if you pitch your tent on the hard shoulder of the M25. That said, we was in a tent so I'm sure if you are in a caravan you'd hardly notice it. All in all, we would definitely stay again just as long as we were in a caravan rather than a tent.
