An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near the North Cornish coast

You’ll find some of north Cornwall’s best bathing and surfing beaches within easy reach of our Bude Club campsite. The campsite boasts a prime location in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty between Boscastle and Crackington Haven. Bude lies nine miles to the north, while south are Tintagel and Camelford.

After a day spent soaking up the sun on the beach our Bude campsite is the perfect place to sit back and relax and enjoy the fantastic views over rolling countryside. Bordered by hedges, the campsite has a separate field and you’ll find a recreation room in the facilities block and a small children’s play area opposite reception to keep younger campers entertained while on site.

There’s a pleasant walk to Crackington Haven over fields and stiles from site where you’ll find a sandy beach and an abundance of rock pools. The nearby fishing port of Boscastle is worth visiting. Learn about the legend of King Arthur in Tintagel, enjoy a cliff top walk to the castle ruins and Merlin’s Cave. Just south of Tintagel Trebarwith Strand is a popular surfing beach and dog-friendly. Port Isaac, made famous by TV’s Doc Martin and Boscastle, a delightful fishing port with white washed cottages, steep narrow streets and alleyways, should not be missed.

North of Bude campsite, Widemouth Bay and Blackrock Sands is fabulous for surfing and sunbathing.

Site is in a good location for touring Cornwall but its on the main A39 so there is a lot of traffic noise so not very peaceful, the facilites are clean but old they really do need to becupdated, the managers very nice, friendly and helpful. But we are very unlikely to go back to this site because of the traffic noise.

Staff friendly and helpful. Shower facilities a little dated but very clean. A little too near the main road but that did mean it was very easy to get to and from where you were heading for the day. Nice small play area and games room too and a great view to the sea.

We spent two weeks at this site and can't wait to go back there next year, staff were friendly and helpful, and views were outstanding. Only draw-back while we were there was the chemical waste point became out of order for a few days and we had to empty it in the disabled toilet. But apart from that, a very good two weeks were spent and enjoyed there.

We stayed at the Bude site for nearly a month.

We stayed at the Bude site for nearly a month. The site is in a great position for visiting the many well known fishing harbours and beaches. But the real attraction is the management team, who are not only very hard working and keep the site in pristine condition, but by the time we had to leave Geoff & Lyn and Malcolm & Pam had become friends.
