Top site for beaches
Great site for families
Enjoy wonderful Northern Irish hospitality in this beautifully situated campsite in County Down.
Mountains, coast and countryside are all accessible from our beautiful Club campsite at Delamont Country Park, in Northern Ireland.
Our campsite sits adjacent to the stunning Delamont Country Park in a peaceful, rural location. Bordered in part by trees Delamont is a level site offering Club Service Pitches, some now benefiting from the addition of hard standings. There is also a modern washblock and a small site shop.
The country park is ideal for stretching the legs. Walk up the hill to the Strangford Stone and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views over Strangford Lough to the Mourne Mountains. In addition to the fantastic walking, the park is perfect for family picnics, barbecues and games with specially designated areas. You’ll also find Ireland’s only fresh-air gym, an outdoor adventure playground, miniature railway and heronry. The Lough itself is a birdwatchers paradise – see Brent Geese, Knot and Terns – and enjoy a lough-side walk.
Killyleagh just over a mile from the campsite is a pretty town with its own ‘fairytale’ castle and a selection of shops and restaurants. Belfast is also accessible from the campsite and, for a quieter day out, head to the beautiful Mourne Mountains in the south east or head to the Giant’s Causeway on the north coast in County Antrim.
Please note: There are no grass-only pitches at this campsite so an additional pitch fee applies. However, there is a small tent area with standard pitches, which can be booked by contacting the site.
There is very limited car parking space for second cars or visitors - more parking is available in Delamont Country Park. Please be aware that some of the Hardstanding pitches on this site comprise of a grass covered reinforced plastic hardstanding.
100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.
Pheasants' Hill Farm Shop in Downpatrick sells its own locally-reared produce including free range pork, chicken and eggs.

Warm friendly welcome from Betty & Hugh. They're there if you need them but not obtrusively. Site and toilets are spotless, great hot water. Having only started caravanning this year and being in our older years we love the fully serviced pitches and a few more wouldn't go amiss ... I'd encourage the club to invest in more fully serviced pitches. We are hoping to go to Darlington next year but sites either don't have any fully serviced pitches or only have a couple or have a few right beside the children's play area which we avoid. Also wish the club would invest in more sites in Ireland ...North and South! All that said, however, Delamont is a gem run by lovely people.

What a smashing site, one of the C&CC's best!
Betty & Hugh Bradley are so friendly and knowledgeable, they are so full of energy and work very hard to keep the site so clean and welcoming. Also the Bradleys were so helpful and genuinely interested in our welfare whilst staying on the site.
Delamont Park, just down the lane, is a gem with stunning views over the lake. Easy drive into Belfast - Titanic Museum a must as is Giants Causeway and Carrick A Rede Rope Bridge which are not too far away. Look out for Murlough National Nature Reserve along the coast, a superb walk amongst the heather covered dunes and the beach with a lovely coffee shop as well.
Groceries not a problem as there are superstores in Downpatrick. Caravan and camping spares also readily available at Bangor.
If we return to Northern Ireland some day
Delamont will be our first port of call.

We recently stayed at Delamont for a late October week and Site Managers Hugh and Betty certainly have everything "ShipShape" - even though it was so close to the end of the season - the park was closing in two weeks!
Hugh and Betty remembered us from last year and even noticed that we had changed the Motorhome!
First impressions are so important and what a really colourful display of lovely flowers and well kept Caravan Park.
Lots of information on decent local places to eat, things to do and see - very tidy leaflet section!
Both staff obviously enjoy their jobs and kept working very hard even though there were only a few vans staying in the park.
It does make all the difference when staff show such a common sense approach to running a Caravan Park!
Thank you - see you next year!
