    Great site for families

Enjoy wonderful Northern Irish hospitality in this beautifully situated campsite in County Down.

Mountains, coast and countryside are all accessible from our beautiful Club campsite at Delamont Country Park, in Northern Ireland.

Our campsite sits adjacent to the stunning Delamont Country Park in a peaceful, rural location. Bordered in part by trees Delamont is a level site offering Club Service Pitches, some now benefiting from the addition of hard standings. There is also a modern washblock and a small site shop.

The country park is ideal for stretching the legs. Walk up the hill to the Strangford Stone and you’ll be rewarded with fantastic views over Strangford Lough to the Mourne Mountains. In addition to the fantastic walking, the park is perfect for family picnics, barbecues and games with specially designated areas. You’ll also find Ireland’s only fresh-air gym, an outdoor adventure playground, miniature railway and heronry. The Lough itself is a birdwatchers paradise – see Brent Geese, Knot and Terns – and enjoy a lough-side walk.

Killyleagh just over a mile from the campsite is a pretty town with its own ‘fairytale’ castle and a selection of shops and restaurants. Belfast is also accessible from the campsite and, for a quieter day out, head to the beautiful Mourne Mountains in the south east or head to the Giant’s Causeway on the north coast in County Antrim.

Please note: There are no grass-only pitches at this campsite so an additional pitch fee applies. However, there is a small tent area with standard pitches, which can be booked by contacting the site.

Worth Noting

There is very limited car parking space for second cars or visitors - more parking is available in Delamont Country Park. Please be aware that some of the Hardstanding pitches on this site comprise of a grass covered reinforced plastic hardstanding.

Arrived off ferry from Liverpool in Belfast and Site only 1/2 hour drive away on edge of a country park with walks down to the Lough. Mountains of Mourne and Murlough National Nature Reserve a 1/2 hour drive and Mount Stewart and Castle Ward both wonderful National Trust properties also within a 1/2 hour drive on the other side of Strangford Lough. Shopping 1 mile away in Killyleagh village limited but perfectly adequate. Asda if you prefer that kind of thing in Downpatrick 5 miles distance. Really enjoyed our stay in Northern Ireland. Moved on to Armagh and Enniskillen before visiting friends in Galway.

Betty & Hugh plus Robert & Susan were very engaging & helpful, they provided useful local information including leaflets where available They keep a very clean, well maintained site, even doing litter pick walk rounds Easy to find, just off the Downpatrick to Comber road we travelled across from the A1 at Newry, along the A25, with no problems My wife & I were visiting relatives locally, but still went across to Lough Neagh & Lough Erne at Enniskillen & the Antrim Coast up to Portrush from this base. The site was used by a wide cross section of visitors, campers, caravans & motorhomes from single occupants to full families. The Country park provides lovely walks which can take you down to the shore of Strangford Lough or through woodland. During the day there are train rides & ice creams to enjoy. Well worth a visit!!!
