Very noisy site, if you want peace and quiet don't stay here, lorries delivering at 5.30 am.

Very noisy site, if you want peace and quiet don't stay here, lorries delivering at 5.30 am. Staff friendly Garden Centre good. I described the site as being in town, this is due to the noise and the bust Garden Centre, although it is a rural location. Very good for walking and cycling lots of tracks and trails into Derbyshire and the surrounding countryside. If you don't mind being woken early by lorries delivering sometimes 5.50am, and forklifts and lorries loading etc from 7am up to 10pm it's great. The train station is close and the garden Centre excellent. The pitches are close and the area for pitching small, facilities are quite basic. Staff are friendly. Just a shame the pitches aren't away from the area where the the ballast, bark and all the other materials are stored.

This is a very busy commercial site with noise until late evening, could be potentionaly dangerous for children This site is very remote with a steep hill access to the garden centre in which it is situated, facilities are cold running water in the toilet block, one shower, with limited hot water, no mobile phone link, heavy plant machinery operating until late evening very disappointed

We really enjoyed out stay and want to stay again.

This review is for Lymefield Farm

We really enjoyed out stay and want to stay again. The setting of the site is very peaceful and has lots of green grass and trees around. The facilities are fine given its a CS. There is a clean toilet and free electric shower in a wet room setting with lots of space. There is a separate sink but a mirror, hot water and a hand drier would be handy. The plant nursery next door is very well stocked with a good caf / shop. Leaving the site is up a reasonable hill and turning onto the main road would have been very difficult if I had to stop for a hill start.

Nice owners who run a good garden centre.

This review is for Lymefield Farm

Nice owners who run a good garden centre. Which also has a popular cafe, and two v good shops for meat and veg on site. But it's like camping in a builders yard and the "facilities" could hardly be more basic. Good walking area and local station v convenient for M'chester.
