Great stop-off point We stopped off here for one night on the way down south from Scotland.

Great stop-off point We stopped off here for one night on the way down south from Scotland. So convenient from junction 17 of M6. Will become a regular stopping off point in future. Very clean site, two showers and two toilets which looked new. There is a fishing lake just by, and ponies in field. We didn't notice any noise from M6, although you could glimpse the tops of lorries from time to time.

We stopped overnight on this site on our way to Scotland and the return trip. It's beautifully cared for and tended - spotlessly clean. We were fortunate to have it to ourselves both times. There is one ladies & one men's loo / shower room. Lashings of hot water too so showering was a pleasure. It's about mile from the M6 and you can see and hear the traffic. That actually was useful as we used it to judge when to leave the site when the rush hour traffic had cleared! The owners were very friendly and welcoming - it will definitely be a regular stop-over for us when we travel north.

A developing site This is an expanding site.

A developing site This is an expanding site. There are 6 hardstandings with electric being installed for each of them. In addition, a different area is being prepared for grass pitches with electric. There is one loo/shower for ladies and one for gents. On a busy day, these may be inadequate. But they are superbly done with a lovely finish. Grey water disposal is in a gravel area by one of the pitches - maybe not so nice in hot dry weather, if we get any. We intend to use this as a stopover when we travel north and south. Its close to Jct 17 of the M6. You can see (and hear) the motorway from the site and you are under the flight path into Manchester. Its a fabulous place for fishermen - 5 lakes to choose from and it didn't appear to be expensive to me as someone who knows nothing about fishing. Access is via a single track lane for about a third of a mile.
