Cheshire’s largest area of woodland surrounds our Delamere Forest Club campsite. Located in the west of the county near Chester, Delamere Forest covers some 950 hectares providing outdoor lovers with boundless walking and cycling opportunities on its network of paths and trails direct from the campsite. There’s a Go Ape! course too – with zip wires and Tarzan swings - for those with a head for heights.

The mixed deciduous and evergreen trees of the forest surround the campsite. These green surroundings complement the campsite’s many environmentally-friendly features. The excellent on site facilities include a parent and child shower room, laundry and washing area in addition to showers and toilets. The site shop stocks the essentials, further afield RM Wilding and The Hollies farm shops supply a wider range of produce.

In nearby Delamere, Abbeywood Gardens incorporates a two kilometre wildlife walk, while Stonyford Cottage Gardens at Northwich has a woodland walk. Enjoy a boat trip along the River Weaver at the Anderton Boat Lift also near Northwich. The campsite is also handy for Oulton Park motor racing circuit near Tarporley.

would recommend this site very close to a local train station but not noisey. the road running long side the entrance was noisey but only if you were on the pitches close to it, took a walk into the forest & could have walked around all day a lot of other walkers but plenty of trails to wander on

In a very nice location with lovely walks.

In a very nice location with lovely walks. Nice big space for tent and very friendly and welcoming staff. The major problems for this site were trains in railway station right at the back of the site. Trains went through and stopped all night, and it gets extremely noisy. Add to that a large lake nearby and birds making a huge amount of noise. Last night there a family turned up and parked beside us, kids were using the trail behind us as a toilet, and adults were very noisy. I asked them to be quiet at 2AM and they just laughed and made even more noise. So lovely walks and nice location, good staff, but very noisy, and also there's a major road outside too, fast cars and more noise. Not recommended if you want a quiet, peaceful location.

Haven't towed for years, forgotten how much I had forgotten! Club staff very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Good for dogs, loads of forest and walks. Plenty of activities at, "Go Ape" in forest and good facilities on site. Some noise from the train line at one end of the camp and road from the other but not too intrusive. Train station near by means accessible for train trip to Chester.
