Belmont Hall Camping and Caravanning Club site number 118/071 is set in secluded parkland with stunning views over the lake and surrounded by magnificent mature trees. There is abundant wildlife, many birds and mammals, foxes and badgers are commonly seen particularly in the evenings. The Hall itself is a very fine example of early Georgian architecture and is a grade 1 listed building.
The site is ideal not only for a friendly relaxed stay but also for those travelling to and from Scotland and the North of England to the South and the Midlands. We are ideally placed as a stop off only 4 miles from the junction of the M6 and M56. The nearby villages of Comberbach and Antrobus both a short walk away contain shops and post offices. The beautiful old village of Great Budworth is close at hand, as are the four pubs, three of these with restaurants attached. Tatton Park, Arley Hall, Oulton Park, Aintree, Capsthorne Hall, Anderton Boat lift, Gawswoth Hall, the medieval old City of Chester, North Wales, the Peak District, Liverpool and Manchester are all within easy driving distance. Fishing is provided to club members and caravan and vehicle storage is available.

This is a Certificated Site (CS). A small campsite that accepts just five caravans or motorhomes. Some of these CS’s accept tents, space permitting. CSs are often quieter, smaller places to camp, with many offering minimal facilities – ideal for when you want to get away from it all.

This is a wonderful site.
I spent a long Bank Holiday weekend here.
I have stayed on sites from the Orkneys to the south coast – some of them from that other caravan site organisation – but have never found better.
I recently read a review of this site which at best could be described as “damning with light praise” and contained some very misleading statements :-
1 “limited walking for our large dog”
We have three active dogs and they had a whale of a time, we were directed to fields where they could run wild and free.
2 “Road up to the site is along, stony and bumpy track, not the best.”
The access road is typical of country lanes, but with beautiful views.
3 “Picture with the Hall is misleading - you cannot see that view from anywhere on the site!”
I don’t know where he stayed, but we saw the hall clearly – it is now a school, so access is limited.
4 ”2 nights, which I think is all one would want here - there's not much to do.”
A wonderful site in the heart of Cheshire – maybe he should try Southend or Blackpool. Not me.
This site is perfect.

Lovely warm and friendly welcome, Gordon & his wife couldn't do enough to help and make the stay enjoyable. We were particularly lucky to be invited to the BBQ on site - which was really enjoyable. Very popular and good quality dog friendly local [2 miles] pub (Antrobus Arms) - book very early for Sunday lunch! Hopefully going back later in the year. Worthy nominee of Best Cert Site 2013.

We arrived at the site to be greeted by Gordon and given all of the information that we needed for our stay. We were most impressed with Gordon's local knowledge and friendly help for places for us to go to. The site is superb for all types of caravanners their families and dogs (who can run around in a separate field next to the site) As Gordon is a caravanner, he knows and helps everyone to have a really pleasant stay - we did, and will go again - thanks Gordon - Michael Waters

We have used this site for the last two years, only staying one night at each end of our journey from Scotland to England & vice versa. Handy for the M6, busy main road, narrow access to entrance and have to be careful driving up to site due to fishermen! Site bays well marked, all electric hook-up one side. Clean but basic toilets (2) and one shower. New dishwashing area this year but would advise to take care as very stony. Keep saying we will stay for longer as a beautiful area.
