    Top site for beaches

Our campsite is near the beautiful beaches of the Welsh coast.

The coves and beaches of west Wales are easily explored from our Club Site at Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion. You can see red kites - a success story in conservation - from here and there are dolphins off the coast close by. The area is a nature-lover's paradise and plenty of attractions for all the family.

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping. Levellers and chocks are required. The site also has a boules pitch.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora or fauna. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Head to New Quay Bay to watch the fishing boats bring home their catch and then buy it from the fish stall.

this site is a well maintained site the amenity block is a little dated but is more than adequate with good showers plenty hot water and very clean. the local town newquay is about three miles away but is defoe worth visting we saw the dolphins here more than once. loads of other beutiful coves to vist. we read the reviews on the sites we vist and we decided to come here for the location although some negative remarks on some reviews we found this site well maintained very clean and the staff very helpful even when uor gas needed replacing late one night. we will defoe be back next season.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Cardigan Bay Site. The site is lovely and well maintained, shower block could do with some modernisation however very clean with amply hot water. The area is well worth visiting with stunning scenery and beaches, not to mention the dolphins and red kites. We will be returning to this site.

We spent a week here (two geriatrics and two children) and found it very pleasant and enjoyable. It is in a beautiful spot and there are some delightful places to visit on foot and by car. My only serious criticism is of the very strange decision to close the shower block for an hour and a half for cleaning every day from 11am to 12.30. The only availability of a lavatory during that time was in the disabled one, with dire warnings about not cleaning your teeth! I am sure that the camping fraternity are a hardy lot who like to be up with the lark and off on adventures early, but it just seems silly to assume that all groups on the site, of whatever size and often with children, have had access to the three showers that are available by 11 o'clock. Miss the deadline and there is a long and irksome wait. It would probably be unfair to infer that this is done for the convenience of the staff rather than the campers but surely it makes more sense to do this, say, between 2 and 3.30 when the site is more likely to be empty.

This was our first visit to a club site having only been away in our caravan twice before, once to a listed site and once to a camping in the forest site. We had high expectations for this site and we were not disappointed. We had a warm welcome and were shown to our pitch and supported in reversing by one of the wardens. We had a hardstanding pitch which was beautifully maintained as was the rest of the site. There are sloping pitches which other campers seemed to cope with well. The wardens were always available although not over the top by invading our visit. The toilet, shower and washing up facilities were immaculately kept. The dog walk was a bit of a let down so the abundance of countryside with footpaths and bridal paths around the site was a god send as the dog walk was useful as a place to allow your dog to relieve themselves but not really suitable for exercising. It is worth noting that the footpaths have stiles so it can be awkward to get a bigger dog over them, but the bridal paths are all gated. The pub at Cross Inn was welcoming to us and the dog with pub grub at a reasonable price (which you can have as a take away) and there are plenty of dog friendly pubs in New Quay and Aberaron. Cai Bach is worth a visit off the A487 as it is a lovely dog friendly beach. We will definitely return the next time we are in West Wales.
