    Top site for beaches

Our campsite is near the beautiful beaches of the Welsh coast.

The coves and beaches of west Wales are easily explored from our Club Site at Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion. You can see red kites - a success story in conservation - from here and there are dolphins off the coast close by. The area is a nature-lover's paradise and plenty of attractions for all the family.

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping. Levellers and chocks are required. The site also has a boules pitch.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Head to New Quay Bay to watch the fishing boats bring home their catch and then buy it from the fish stall.

We spent five nights at this site.

This review is for Cardigan Bay

We spent five nights at this site. The area is very rural though only a ten minute drive from beautiful New Quay. The site was well signposted, the driveway to the site was very narrow and is difficult if meeting another vehicle as we did when we arrived with the caravan in tow. When we arrived it was pouring down with rain though the grassy areas are obviously well drained as they coped well. As previously mentioned, bring your levelling blocks as the site is sloping, we has to lift our van six inches on the one side to get it level. Facilities on this site are fairly minimal, just as we like it. The shop sold the very basics, my kids did enjoy the small playground. As others have said, the toilet block does need updating, though it was clean. My main gripe was the showers, there wasn't enough of them to cope at peak times.

My teenage daughter, husband and I recently enjoyed a short summer break at Cardigan Bay. When camping we always choose a Club Site as we know the standard of facilities will be high, and we were not disappointed. We were welcomed by the staff and helped to find a quiet, fairly flat pitch. Some other reviews have mentioned having to queue for a shower, but we didn't find this a problem. We spent most of our stay touring round the local area, and would recommend: New Quay Honey Farm (v. close by), New Quay itself, Aberaeron (a lovely seaside town with a small swimming pool), Llanerchaeron (NT), and Peapod Junction (again v. close - paint your own pottery at the beginning of the week and collect it before you return home).

As with other reviews, more showers would be good.

As with other reviews, more showers would be good. Maybe one less cubicled sink would make another shower. Both grand bratz enjoyed the site immensely. Beaches are accessible and good. Crab fishing was done lots of times. Shame access across mid Wales is so torturous.
