    Top site for beaches

Our campsite is near the beautiful beaches of the Welsh coast.

The coves and beaches of west Wales are easily explored from our Club Site at Cardigan Bay in Ceredigion. You can see red kites - a success story in conservation - from here and there are dolphins off the coast close by. The area is a nature-lover's paradise and plenty of attractions for all the family.

Worth Noting

Most pitches are sloping. Levellers and chocks are required. The site also has a boules pitch.

WiFi

100% coverage cannot be guaranteed due to rural location, weather conditions and changing flora. These can cause variable signal strength. Hotspots are available. Prices.

Eat Local

Head to New Quay Bay to watch the fishing boats bring home their catch and then buy it from the fish stall.

The pub at the end of the road offers good food at a reasonable price, and the walk to Cwm Tudu is lovely. The walk to New Quay via the coastal path is more strenuous, but the bus back is a good option if you feel like doing the one way only.

Angi and Paul worked very hard to bring the site up to tip-top condition on their own as the other wardens hadn't yet arrived. Very friendly and welcoming and helpful. A splendid enthusiastic pair! Easy parking in New Quay for motorhomes at top of village, all day 5 (cars less), there is a lower carpark but access not easy for motorhomes and in summer traffic probably a nightmare. Steep walk to harbour, some short term parking on narrow streets but beware the very vigilant traffic warden! Dolphins out in the bay. Excellent fish and chips from Captain's Rendezvous, lovely beach for kids (and adults!) boat trips around the bay etc. Fairly basic but friendly pub in Cross Inn, 15-20 min gentle walk from site. Excellent mid-week special of 2 steaks + bottle of wine 25.

This was one site we used for touring around Wales. It was well presented and very clean. We were just going to stay one night but decided on another night as Aberystwyth had a park and ride. The friendly manager actually phoned the Park and Ride up for me to confirm they were operating as we had been caught out before at Lincoln in the quieter months. It only cost 1.30 for the day, but we were told by a local that it's quicker to walk in rather than wait for the bus and it was. Just head for the clock tower at the train station and then left and down the street and you are at the beach! The site is easy to find and with good level hardstandings for a motorhome. If you are going to go on grass then you will definitely need levellers as it is quite sloping as it says in the book! Although we like walking I think New Quay was a bit too far and we didn't want to walk along the road so again we took the motorhome and parked at the top of the village (1.00 for 2 hours). It was a hike back up but the streets are very narrow and not many places to park. It's a lovely little village with a harbour wall with seats, great for sitting on in the warm sun and casting out a hopeful eye for a dolphin!

The surrounding countryside is pleasant for walking, paths and quiet roads providing a network of walking routes. The coast is stunning. Good bus service to Aberystwyth and Cardigan. Cardi Bach bus is a great way to get to lovely villages along coastal path, walk and be picked up further on. We were able to get around without moving the motorhome. The site is kept clean and tidy by Angie and Paul who were friendly and helpful.
