Campsite picked by my nephew who is not a C&C club member, booked direct through their website and didn't realise it was a CS until we arrived and saw the club sign, never asked for membership number. Easy booking system through their web site. Beautiful location, well away from road, and red kites fly over nearby fields. Pitch described as flat but actually on quite a slope. Good access to electric and water but NO chemical or grey waste disposal, or explanation of what to do. Another caravan owner managed to speak to the site owner who said to put the chemical waste down the toilet, no mention of the grey waste which we and others were forced to pour into the nearby rough ground.....not impressed. Basic loo and shower which were clean but only 2 showers for whole camp site which had way more than 5 pitches. Tried to walk to Grafham water via footpaths but way markers petered out and we had to return, no doubt easy if you had an OS map. Looked up site on club website on return and realised description inaccurate and misleading. Having said all that we still had a great time, my nephew and his young family, who where in a tent next to our caravan, we're quite happy with the basic facilities and loved the location, so maybe we've been spoiled by other sites.

The proprietor's own website is attractive and facilitates booking and prepayment. The farm is easy to find and vehicle access presents no problems. We were somewhat dismayed to find that our chosen pitch (Fir) required high precision campervan parking to match the description of level or gently sloping stated on the C&CC website. In fact the middle field (ref. the plan view on Agden Farm's website is on a quite substantial slope. The upper and lower field pitches are more level, but although we booked 4 weeks in advance, we can't say for sure whether any of these were available to us (and how would we know which were level anyway?) The washrooms are modest but well equipped, with hot water and a shower in both male and female facilities (thank you!), but limited to one toilet/basin in the men's and two in the women's. At the time of our visit the men's door didn't close and lock properly, so the shower was not completely private. Given a two night stay these were not major issues for us, though it would have been possible to convey our comments direct to Kerry if she had introduced herself at some point. Of course, we realise farmers are busy folk, especially at harvest time. Families with young children should be aware that this means (noisy) work might be in progress until dusk. It is possible to use public footpaths to get to Grafham Water, a few km away, but an OS map is recommended to pinpoint the paths, since the way markers are few and far between. Overall, we would recommend the site to a friend whilst drawing attention to the issues raised above.

Booked on Owners web site. Chose pitch next to loos. Nobody available on arrival so pitched. Later told the pitches had changed. Site empty so able to stay.Chemical disposal awkward. Electric plug in loo, no soap or dryers. Lovely and quiet. Would not like to be here when busy.

Only stayed one night as we were en route to somewhere else - bike ride to the lake from the farm was very quick (also a nice walk)....when you get there you have the option of cycling (or walking) the whole ten miles round it! It's so very pretty. Site was lovely - very clean, quiet and it suited our needs perfectly.
