A well equipped grassy site with direct access to cycle routes The site is off the main road but there is access through the back of the site onto the Sustrans cycle route (Ely one way, Cambridge the other). Also access to a 20 minute quiet stroll to the village pub with great food. Wash block modern with showers and plenty of hot water.

Pros - attentive site owner, good showers, easy manoeuvrability of caravan on site Cons - next to fairly busy road, too many units on site. Had to pay extra for children which made it quite expensive considering there were no play facilities for them

The welcome was friendly enough but the small site was waterlogged and we had to park on the drive alongside the grassy area. This meant that each time we left the caravan we had to don wellies and could not make proper use of our awning or exercise our dog without her getting filthy. The facilities were mainly adequate but I could find nowhere satisfactory to dispose of grey waste. The site is also close to a main road, which can be busy and hence noisy at times. There is a large area alongside for storing caravans which detracts a little from the site's appeal. On the plus side the area is nice with Wicken Fen, owned by the NT, a short walk away, and Anglesey Abbey about 20 minutes away by car. The very pleasant small city of Ely with its massive cathedral is also easily accessible. I don't think this site merits the accolade of "certificated". I would recommend visiting it only in a drought, as the waterlogging seems to be a feature of the fen landscape.
