Site is off a surprisingly busy local road in this seemingly remote location. Forget early nights or lie-ins unless road noise doesn't bother you. Staff a bit confused but friendly. Two basic shower, wc and sink rooms shared with a yoga/aerobics club in a small block. Not sure where chem disp located.Water tap through a rickety gate r/o block. On arrival, one wc blocked (yuk) and was still u/s the next day and level of finish is pretty spartan. No washing up area. Very small site but the ace in the hand is the golf and leisure club across the road where you can enjoy a decent standard of facility and meals in a comfy lounge. Gents showers in golf club communal however. Chinese t/a in Toft 1.5m away deserves five gold stars.

We arrived late which meant checking in at the fitness club across the road.

We arrived late which meant checking in at the fitness club across the road. on check in we were given a welcome letter with information on the site and local area, which was useful. The site is a cleaver use of spare land and had easy access. Not the most picturesque, but served our purpose. After reading the last review I was concerned about the shower and toilet facilities, but it would appear that they now have a cleaner as the facilities were spotless and the shower screens have frosted glass. It was a rainy Saturday, so the children went to the splash time in the pool which was good value and afterwards we ate in the club house. They said that the club house was not open in the evenings until April when the golfing season started! Which was a shame but the local pub (willow tree) in Bourn was fine.

Not the best facilities for camping with no washing up facility.

This review is for Bourn Golf Club

Not the best facilities for camping with no washing up facility. Shower had a clear glass door on it so lack of privacy. Sanitary bin overflowing onto floor. Disabled toilet was found in area that said no entry to campers but was full of fitness equipment so unusable. Camp site separated from golf club by a busy and noisy road. OK for a couple of days and a good base for visiting the Cambridge area.
