This was an absolute gem and I would return in a heartbeat! The welcome was warm and the owners, Liz and John, are very laid back and friendly. As stated in the details, the site is on a slope and being in a tent we were limited with options on levelling, however, this didn't take away from the fact that it is a beautiful place to stay with fantastic countryside to explore - there are some flat pitches, but without electric hookup. There was only one toilet and shower, so if you are taking a caravan/camper, I recommend leaving the facilities to those in tents!! On a clear night, the view of the stars is amazing due to no light pollution and we spent an evening watching bats and owls fly by and listening to the owls hooting! There was at one point a heavy downpour, but the site didn't get waterlogged and was nice and dry. The kids were made to feel welcome and got to meet the resident donkey, who was adorable.

A very pleasant, relaxed overnight stay. The site photo does not do it justice, tbh.

A very pleasant, relaxed overnight stay. The site photo does not do it justice, tbh. Beware farm is close by and are early starters! Recommend The George in Lambourn but there does not seem to be anywhere close by for a good breakfast if you are a hiker!

Fantastic site would recommend to everyone.

Fantastic site would recommend to everyone. Very friendly owners and facilities clean and spacious. We have a 2 year old and he loved it. Plenty of space to run around and the site well away from the road. The owner is very nice and in the toilet/show block you have an Info section telling you about the local area.

Very friendly welcome. Lovely view, very quiet.

Very friendly welcome. Lovely view, very quiet. We were certainly made very welcome at this site which is nestled into the downs. Lots of wild life around. Much of the site slopes so it's a good idea to take ramps, but the owners are extremely helpful when it comes to parking up and can provide chocks.
