A very quiet site (just us and one other unit for our weekend stay). Pitch is sloping, but site owners have provided blocks in case your own are not enough. Very sheltered (we had quite a storm, but the bowl of the hill protected us from the SW wind) and although no hard standing, the grass remained firm after heavy rain such that our van left no marks. Single toilet and shower is limited, but there was nevwer anyone else there when I wanted it, so quite sufficient. Lovely walking in the locality, plus Ashdown House (National Trust) and the GWR Centre (designer shopping) just 10 miles away at Swindon. We will be back.

We found the site access easy but the actual field is quite steep in places, we had no packing blocks, however the Wardens provided a pile of timbers to help us set up the van onto a level keel. Surprisingly there are several TV arials located on the site with extension leads provided, but if you park on the lower slope a further extension of your own would be required. We found the toilet block adequate and clean, but as others have said, a split between shower and toilet would be helpful. As a bonus the site is a working farm that sells beef which is farmed and processed on site and at very reasonable prices too. The location is great for exploring, we had a good week in the area. With reasonably close access to the motorway network and the major trunk roads I found the few miles on B roads to reach the site to be an easy tow from the motorway. This was only our 4th site so we are still novices but very happy with the location and access route. Recommended site. Plenty of walking around, get up early and watch the racehorses going through the gallops. We also saw lots of Red Kites flying in the area.
