Stay in the grounds of a fairytale Scottish castle on the South Ayrshire coast, with sunsets to die for.

Pitch in the grounds of the cliff top Culzean Castle Club campsite and you’ll be rewarded with stunning views across the Firth of Clyde to the islands of Arran and Ailsa Craig, and the Mull of Kintyre. Our campsite here is in an area rich with beautiful countryside and coastline, fantastic walking, stunning beaches and many interesting places to visit.

Our spacious, secure 90-pitch site welcomes all camping units and offers good facilities for campers including showers, toilets, washing up area and a children’s play area.

The National Trust for Scotland managed Castle and Country Park are a short walk away and includes five kilometres of coastline with sand dunes, caves, rock pools and sand and shingle beaches.

Fishermen can enjoy some fly fishing at Mochrum Loch close to the site. The 24 acre loch is stocked with brown, blue and rainbow trout.

Head north from thecamp site and you’ll come to the coastal town of Ayr with its many shops, bars and restaurants. Just before you reach Ayr, the Burns Heritage Park in Alloway is worth a detour.

What a fantastic place Culzean Castle is to stay at and the caravan site could not be closer.

What a fantastic place Culzean Castle is to stay at and the caravan site could not be closer. The history of the castle, the numerous walks, the gardens, the swan pond and the deer park are all lovely attractions. The caravan site managers (Ian & Jackie) as well as the assistant managers (Duncan & Elizabeth) are the most helpful and welcoming people. There are no problems that they can't sort out for you. The views from the site across to Arran are just superb. We would recommend this site to everyone.

Culzean Castle C&C Site is fantastic! The staff are welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The site is generally level, though some pitches require blocks (Of which the site as some to borrow!) to level out your unit. The toilet block is kept immaculate, however C&C Bosses... PLEASE get the site a collection box for it's lawn mower!! The site is constantly being mown and kept in amazing order, but the poor staff have to clean the toilet blocks constantly to remove the grass cuttings that are walked in! Would highly recommend this site to all types of holiday makers. There is a large central field that can accommodate tents / groups and some pitches overlooking the Firth of Clyde towards the Isle of Arran. Lots and lots of activities locally from the relaxing (Culzean Castle, Dunure Harbour) to the educational (Brig O'Doon, Robbie Burns Museum and house). Glasgow is only an hour away and the coastal road up through Largs is fabulous!

We've been to a few sites now in our first year of caravanning, and this was the first camping and caravanning club site we've visited. It is in a league of it's own by comparison. It was the friendliest welcome we've ever received, that warm welcome plus the well maintained facilities will ensure we will be back. Plenty to do and see in the vicinity ( and a cracking takeaway in nearby Maybole ). Toilet block is scrupulously cleaned daily, Well marked areas for waste water and chemical waste disposal. If all the camping and caravanning sites are as good as this, I think we'll be taking the 'van out every weekend!
