Stay in the grounds of a fairytale Scottish castle on the South Ayrshire coast, with sunsets to die for.

p>Pitch in the grounds of the cliff top Culzean Castle Club campsite and you’ll be rewarded with stunning views across the Firth of Clyde to the islands of Arran and Ailsa Craig, and the Mull of Kintyre. Our campsite here is in an area rich with beautiful countryside and coastline, fantastic walking, stunning beaches and many interesting places to visit.

Our spacious, secure 90-pitch site welcomes all camping units and offers good facilities for campers including showers, toilets, washing up area and a children’s play area.

The National Trust for Scotland managed Castle and Country Park are a short walk away and includes five kilometres of coastline with sand dunes, caves, rock pools and sand and shingle beaches.

Fishermen can enjoy some fly fishing at Mochrum Loch close to the site. The 24 acre loch is stocked with brown, blue and rainbow trout.

Head north from thecamp site and you’ll come to the coastal town of Ayr with its many shops, bars and restaurants. Just before you reach Ayr, the Burns Heritage Park in Alloway is worth a detour.

Ready Camp is available at this campsite. (Please note that, although we welcome dogs on this site, in the interest of all guests we do not permit pets to stay within the Ready Camp tents).

We were in a ready tent which was great, the weather was so windy and wet for the second part of the week that we would have left earlier if in our tent! Loved the location and views but the weather was against us, not that much to do in wet weather and quite exposed with great views but very windy. We loved it but probably won't return purely due to the unreliability of the weather which of course we understand could happen anywhere. The site was very clean and well maintained. All campers respectful of each other and noise minimal until our last night when we had a noisy go-cart and a yappy dog arrive! The camp site is lovely though, would definitely recommend it. Very warm welcome, lovely site.
