Absolutely loved this site!!!! The location is perfect for exploring Glen Coe and the surrounding area. The facilities are spacious and well maintained. The site itself is well laid out with enough trees and planting to give a feel of seclusion without spoiling the views of the surrounding mountains. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, the tent field was very waterlogged when we arrived but Shaun made sure we had the driest spot possible which we really appreciated. The visitor centre next door is very handy for local info, free wifi and fab muffins!!!!! Loads of birds around the site, we hung a bird feeder from the front guy rope of the tent and had chaffinches, great tits and robins coming to visit us every day. Can't fault this site at all and can't wait to return next time we make it that far north :)

I liked this wee site - we were welcomed in a friendly manner and I can't say that there was an over use of notices as there can be at some sites. I would have liked the shower block to be a little warmer and the push button showers were irritating less than 20 secs per cycle is not long enough for a lady washing her hair!! On the plus side the water was lovely and hot. There is a good path directly from the site into Glencoe village which means you don't have to walk on the busy A82. We walked to the Gathering Restaurant and had some tasty food - only about a 20 minute walk.

Amenity block right at one end of site making it a long trek from the other end. Also the only toilet emptying point is located there. Again, a long long way from the other end of the site. Showers were scaldingly hot (far too hot). Reported to HSM's but it seems they were unable to adjust the water temp. for some reason. Amenities not convenient enough for me to visit again. I like 21st century comfort! As for the staff...Brilliant.

We camped and hiked in a wet and chilly April week, and still had great fun. The warden's good humour, wooden shelters for rain-challenged tent-dwellers to cook under, and clean shower blocks with plentiful hot water were all greatly appreciated. Thank you. (Bonus: no midges if it's freezing!)
