    Top site for photography

A glorious campsite location at the foot of the Scottish mountains.

Walking boots are a must for campers visiting our Glencoe Club campsite. Surrounded by National Trust for Scotland managed woodland, this is wonderful walking country. The West Highland Way passes within nine miles of the campsite and there are many other low and high-level walks. You can even bag yourself a Munro or two – there are eight within the vicinity of the site.

Whichever of the 102 pitches you choose at Glencoe, you’re guaranteed stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The facilities are excellent and include a laundry, locker room and drying shed.

The eco-friendly Glencoe National Trust for Scotland Visitor Centre is a short walk from the campsite. It has interactive displays, a shop and a café. In nearby Glencoe the Glencoe and North Lorn Folk Museum gives an interesting insight into the history of the area.

Glencoe Activities in Ballachulish offers a choice of 20 activities and tours – from golf and canyoning to rib and Segway tours.

More relaxing pursuits include a ferry ride across Loch Linnhe or embark on what’s regarded to be one of the greatest railway journey’s in the world from Fort William on the Jacobite steam train .

Stayed at this site for 7 days and had a lovely time. The site is very well maintained with helpful staff. Reception has limited opening times but staff are always on site to help you with anything you need and are always approachable. The area is great for walking and sightseeing. You can walk into Glencoe village from the site (about a mile) where you will find a Nisa shop and cafe. The food at The Gathering is really good and staff friendly and helpful. This is about the only place that you can get good internet connection too as there is no wifi on site and the Glencoe visitor centre has recently changed their wifi and it is a bit hit and miss. At Ballachulish try the coffee shop at Craft and Things. It has a very good and varied menu. would recommend to anyone with a pair of walking boots and enjoys great natural scenery. The midges are a problem though but you expect that in Scotland during August! Can't wait to return soon.

Friendly staff who were making an effort to improve the site, especially the hard standing pitches with planters, which otherwise resembled a stony car park. Though good size pitches with mountain views. Despite the 'no exercising dogs' rule on site there were many who did just that, including some who walked straight through our pitch. Adjacent visitor centre was a little disappointing but the village was only a 20 minute (1 mile) walk away with shops, pubs etc

Stayed here for 4 nights and from the moment we arrived Steven and Maureen were friendly and helpful. Pitch size was perfect and the location is just stunning. Toilets and showers were to the standard expected from a club site. Although there is no play area for kids, we had no complaints from our 4 children who loved the freedom to play in such a beautiful setting. This site has to be one of the best that the club has. Many thanks to Steven and Maureen for making our visit so relaxing and enjoyable. Will be back again !!!
