    Top site for photography

A glorious campsite location at the foot of the Scottish mountains.

Walking boots are a must for campers visiting our Glencoe Club campsite. Surrounded by National Trust for Scotland managed woodland, this is wonderful walking country. The West Highland Way passes within nine miles of the campsite and there are many other low and high-level walks. You can even bag yourself a Munro or two – there are eight within the vicinity of the site.

Whichever of the 102 pitches you choose at Glencoe, you’re guaranteed stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The facilities are excellent and include a laundry, locker room and drying shed.

The eco-friendly Glencoe National Trust for Scotland Visitor Centre is a short walk from the campsite. It has interactive displays, a shop and a café. In nearby Glencoe the Glencoe and North Lorn Folk Museum gives an interesting insight into the history of the area.

Glencoe Activities in Ballachulish offers a choice of 20 activities and tours – from golf and canyoning to rib and Segway tours.

More relaxing pursuits include a ferry ride across Loch Linnhe or embark on what’s regarded to be one of the greatest railway journey’s in the world from Fort William on the Jacobite steam train .

Glencoe has its own beauty and never ceaces to amaze Itis suitable for all age groups for the most active to relaxing. The reason l say this as we don't do the same walking we would like to do but there are many walks around the site which are good for the youngest to burn off all their energy in a safe setting, the visitors centre is next door with walks from the site itself to the very interesting visitors centre. Some also take their bicycles for use in the area. No shortage of mountains to climb in this area. Stay safe. There is no reason not to The weather forecasts are on display if no other way to access this jnformation We take telescope or binoculars to watch others climb the mountains. There is great views from the site itself and also one we like at nearby Kinlochleven. The staff at the site are always busy This is clearly seen from the way they run the site everything is so well organised. So well looked after. Well done to them. It's a very busy life for them with all their visitors to look after can't praise the club site enough. A great place to relax as some do during their time here. Listening to the birds sing is very relaxing Another reason for the telescope. Active or relaxing Glencoe is not easy to beat for the beauty A few hours away from Glasgow if someone really wants to go. The trip to Glencoe itself is worth it. Don't forget your camera. Many beautiful views. Never the same each time a photo is taken. Enjoy the site. The wardens work hard so we can enjoy a wonderful outdoor experience. Well done to the club and all its workers. See you all again soon. Beresford said

We have never been made to feel more welcome at a site than we did by Stephen & Maureen.

We have never been made to feel more welcome at a site than we did by Stephen & Maureen. The team keeps the site and facilities immaculate and spotless and the scenery is stunning, every pitch has a view of the mountains. We were lucky enough to see a golden eagle fly over our van and enjoyed lovely walks around the site. Glencoe village is a 20 minute walk away and the visitor centre next door to the site is a must see. Thoroughly recommend the fast boat trip through Glencoe Activities which is based at nearby Ballachulish.
