As per last year, the site and facilities are great.

As per last year, the site and facilities are great. This year however as we were there for longer we got more involved with the rally side of things. We enjoyed a number of evening games - horseshoes, play your cards right and skuttles! The highlights though were the regular bike rides to the surrounding towns, beach, and countryside led by Peter and Joan, the CCC stewards. Cycling abilities were far and wide, from young children and their parents to those much older, no one was left out or left behind. It was lovely to explore without having to concentrate on navigating too. And the end rewards of apple pie or ice cream were well worth the effort! We had a problem with our trailer tent and Peter directed us to a local garage which sorted it very quickly. I also had to disturb their first possible lie in of the rally, as we woke on our final day to a flat battery in our car which Peter swiftly fixed with his jump leads, once he was dressed! In fact Peter and Joan were always happy and willing to help whenever they were needed. If you are reading this Peter or Joan, thank you for your practical help but also for making our holiday far more pleasurable than we expected! To those of you who haven't had the opportunity to meet Peter and Joan at a rally you are now out of luck as they are retiring after the end of this rally. We would like to wish them both all the best for the next chapter! We're now keen to join more rallies in the future, but they will all have a lot to live up to!

We weren't sure what to make of this as we usually go to small campsites (our usual has 19 pitches, this has over 800!) with few facilities other than short distance to beach/countryside but our boys wanted more this year. And we all loved it! With the rally our pitches were in a quiet area, less than a minute to the amazing toilet/washing facilities, a few minutes to the shop and restaurants, probably 10 or so to the main park. We have a large trailer tent and had plenty of room, water and electricity close by on a level pitch. The stewards were fab if we had any queries, as were our neighbouring campers. We only had one disruptive night due to noisy neighbours, the rest of the time it was beautifully peaceful. The amazing weather helped. We decided on the first day to forgo the 'cultural' stuff we had planned and just to stay on site and chill. We visited the park every day for a couple of hours and rarely had to queue more than a few minutes if at all (late August, local schools had already gone back). It suited our youngest as he doesn't like being rushed and was hesitant to go on rides but after a day or so became more adventurous and it wasn't a mad rush to get round everything as when you do a day trip to an amusement park. There was a good range of rides for all ages. The park was open until 10, though the rides stopped at 6. But the swings/slides etc were still accessible then as were the trails. We explored at leisure but didn't get round everything, not that we were bothered as we'd already decided to return - hopefully with friends so the boys can venture without us oldies holding them back! We hired go-karts (peddle ones) for our stay which were fab! They were everywhere, for one person upto family ones or ones with trailers. We had brought some food but bought the rest onsite - a bit pricey and limited, or ate in the cafe's, well we were on holiday! It was our first time driving in Europe, it was a doddle from the minute we left the ferry!

We had a lovely week, there is so much to do on site and all the facilities you could need. The pitches were in groups of 6 and loads of room, lovely clean toilets, showers and washing up facility's. You could not ask for better stewards than Peter and Joan Davidson, who put on a range of activity's for those who wanted to join in, and came around every morning to check that everyone was happy. The site has a theme park with swimming pool attached which was close enough for access, but did not intrude on the peace of the site. There was everything on site, well stocked shop, bars at least two restaurants gift shops and fast food outlets. If you ventured off site there is a lovely village within walking distance and supermarkets and so much to do in the area Great site, Thanks 10 out of 10 from us

We took our 2 teenage sons, nephew and a friend to Duinrell. It was great for them, with its onsite theme park, water park and evening entertainment. The site was clean with good facilities....showers, wash up and clothes washing machines and dryers. Our stewards Peter and Joan were really helpful and welcoming, and organised a range of evening activities which were fun to get involved in. Off site, it was easy to get to the beach by cycle. Cycling is safe and easy in Holland as there is a well developed network of cycle paths, so bring your bikes or hire one on the site. Access to the wide, sandy beach and nearby towns such as Leiden with its canals and market is easy by bicycle, and access to Amsterdam is easy by bus and train (4 to Den Haag and then 18 to Amsterdam by train). We would really recommend this Rally to families with young or older children. The only downside was the weather which was mixed - some lovely sunny days but some really wet and stormy days. If you can live with that, then visit Duinrell. We had a great time.
