Delftse Hout Rally

from £17.30 to £24.10 Per unit

Overview

In the suburbs of Delft and close to a lake

Great for... exploring the Netherlands. Delft is a charming old market town with a bustling market square, canals and cobbled streets. The factories where the hand-crafted Delft Blue porcelain is made are close by. This is an ideal base for local cycling tours and also for exploring further afield in the Netherlands. It’s a great time for seeing the bulb fields and visiting Keukenhof Gardens – and don’t miss the nationwide King’s Day celebrations, on the public holiday of 27 April.

Stewarded by Dave and Patti Carter. All rally pitches located together near to main facilities. Typical activities (subject to demand) may include weekly rally dinners, canal trips, visits to the Royal Delft porcelain factories, a clogmakers and cheese farm, quizzes, cheese and wine parties and social evenings.  Tickets for the popular coach tour to see the Flower Parade pass through Rijnsburg on 25 April 2015 are bookable in advance of the rally for £11.00 per person. Maximum unit length 7.5m.

Super rally but one major comment DO NOT follow sat nav as it takes you through the nearby estate and under the flyover where the police are waiting to fine you 90 euros, when you come off the motorway head for the IKEA and the round down past that will take you safely to the site, the site is very good the rally stewards even better they organised super fun evenings as well as daytime activities. There is a bus to take you into town if you don't want to walk it's the no 81, the town itself is great lovely shops and bars and on certain days markets. If you stay on the bus to the stop immediately after the station you will be in front if the Aldi supermarket alternatively you can purchase a tram ticket and travel all over the place, The Hague, etc, a real gem no 1 tram. We went on an organised trip by the stewards to a clog factory and a cheese factory excellent, also went to madurodam minature cities again super. The site has lots of cycle tracks around so take your bikes there's a lake to go round with cafs along the way, just up the road is IKEA very good for nick backs and something to eat, all in all a must rally if you enjoy good company and super surroundings with good stewards well done peter and jennie
