Delftse Hout Rally

from £20.20 to £27.90 Per unit

Overview

In the suburbs of Delft and close to a lake

Great for... exploring the Netherlands. Delft is a charming old market town with a bustling market square, canals and cobbled streets. The factories where the hand-crafted Delft Blue porcelain is made are close by. This is an ideal base for local cycling tours and also for exploring further afield in the Netherlands. It’s a great time for seeing the bulb fields and visiting Keukenhof Gardens – and don’t miss the nationwide King’s Day celebrations, on the public holiday of 27 April.

Rally stewards will be Ken and Sylvia Hale. All rally pitches located together near to main facilities.

Typical activities have previously included weekly rally dinners, canal trips, visits to the Royal Delft porcelain factories, a clogmakers and cheese farm, quizzes, cheese and wine parties and social evenings.  Tickets for the popular coach tour to see the Flower Parade pass through Voorhout on 22 April 2017 are bookable in advance of the rally for £12.00 per person. Maximum unit length 7.5m. Ken and Sylvia look forward to developing this summer's rally with the input of rally members.

This campsite is in a fantastic location next to a lake woods canals and lovely cycle paths .Yet a 10 min walk away from Delft which is a beautiful town with a lot to do .The staff at the site were very friendly and helpful as were all the Dutch people we met .The flower parade was wonderful and well worth the trip as was the Keukenhof gardens which was beautiful .The Stewards Ken and Sylvia organised everything really well and were extremely helpful and reassuring when our van battery went flat.Cycle paths are brilliantly designed and vary in distance to suit every one .There are several supermarkets close by and public transport stops outside the site gate .The site facilities are plentiful well maintained and really clean .we enjoyed it so much we will definitely return

We regularly visit the seaside and the war graves of Arnhem and Auden where where my fathers best friend is buried. There is also Gouda, Rotterdam, The Hague all relatively short drives from site and from Delft station Amsterdam and other interesting towns are easily accessed. The nearby park and Lakeland area offers great walks and sights as does the nearby Arboretum which is opposite the neighbouring Urban Farm. Beautiful area and excellent campsite.
