Rally Tips

This is already one of our most popular rallies after just two seasons, as the Alicante region remains very sought after, the campsite is first rate, and the area offers a winning combination of mountains, sea, countryside and historic cities. This is a large site, so bikes are recommended for getting around. In January and February particularly, the site tends to be busy with visitors from across Europe and can be in high demand, so early booking for your full intended stay is recommended. In quieter times some activities may be opened up to other campers at the discretion of the Rally Stewards, to ensure the viability of any activity. Some, such as rally dinners, may be ticket only.

Rally Date: 20 11 2016 - 07 05 2017

We recommend that you book your entire rally stay as early as possible.

Overview

The range, quality and scale of facilities of this award-winning site, plus the free activities, continues to wow Club members.

Rally Dates 20 Nov 2016 - 7 May 2017 (Members only)

Marjal Costa Blanca is only a short drive from the coast, but benefits from a great countryside location, with easy access to and from the motorway from which some road noise may be heard. Many pitches have mountain views, a natural park popular among bird watchers is just nearby, and golf courses, cycle routes and the small town of Catral are all close too. Very carefully thought out, the large camping area is split into several zones, divided by wide access roads, with a central promenade with dropped kerbs at crossings. Ecology and access are the name of the game, with almost everywhere accessible to wheelchairs. Pitches are spacious and extremely well-equipped, with electricity, water, drainage, high speed fibre optic internet (pay) and TV connection. Wash blocks are superbly well-equipped, and each one also has a small, simple garden, with seats and a boules pitch, just outside. The spa (pay on site) is excellent, and our special member rates include access to the gym and indoor pools from Monday to Friday. Marjal Costa Blanca represents outstanding value for anyone who wants a high quality, very well-equipped site, with much to see and visit in the area - or, if you prefer, no need to leave the site. Members agree that both the site and the excellent service offered by its team are second to none in our Winter programme.

We stayed here in Dec 2015 good weather reception allocated pitch Number as we were with the rally it was like coronation st people having parties all times of day drinking and very noisy going to functions and returning late standing outside talking with no consideration for people in their vans. If you come here buy a plastic sheet to cover your pitch if it rains it's very messy. A long way to walk to catral but a very nice working town, the road to the town very busy with fast cars and heavy h.g.v. I found this rally to be very clicky and noticed other rally people picking their own areas to pitch up, the stewards must allow this but we new nothing about it if we could have pitched away from the noise of these unconsideret party people we may have enjoyed our stay, so we will not be coming with the c&cc again, just one more thing I hope you like dogs.

Our first Winter rally in the sun. Excellent. Stewards were Brilliant. Site facilities first rate. Will take some beating. Great for caravans. Would recommend taking bikes there as some distance from main facilities on site. Sanitary facilities very close however and very good. We'll be back!

The site is about 16k from the coast. The small town of Catral is withing walking distance. There are many small towns in the area if you have a car. Local markets are good. The site put on entertainment in the bar usually twice a week. The plaza is a good place to have a drink or a snack. We found a bike to be useful. The rally provided a train to take us to the social events they organised, We particularly enjoyed the ballroom and line dancing classes.
