Overview

Located on the outskirts of the typical Vosges village of Corcieux

The pride they take in the site is shown in the carefully tended plants and flowers on site and the spotless sanitation blocks. The site is well placed to discover Alsace, with its villages full of flowers and its wine route, the Vosges, with its lakes, forests, waterfalls and legends, and Lorraine, with its monuments, its history and its gastronomy.

This review is for Au Clos de la Chaume

Pascaline and Mike the owners of this site made me very welcome and I wish that I had booked longer than the three days I had booked. There is a lady comes once a week cooking chicken usually on a Tuesday, also a pizza van both cooked on site and wine tasting and a talk on wines from Alsace with the chance of buying. Deserves more than five star rating.

Clos De La Chaume is the best campsite we have been to.

This review is for Au Clos de la Chaume

Clos De La Chaume is the best campsite we have been to. Friendly and laid back atmosphere with hosts that are always happy to help and very friendly. Campsite is set in lovely woodland which offers a sense of peacefulness. All the facilities are up to date and spotlessly clean showers/ toilets/ washing up etc. The site is immaculate and clearly a lot of work goes into keeping it this way. Great covered pool, nice playground for the kids, table tennis and games room. 30 mins free wifi each day but can pay small amount for full coverage. Campsite sells fresh baguettes, locally made jam and wine etc in the shop which are all divine. Our jumbo pitch with electric lived up to its name and everything worked well. The owners host wine tasting, have rotisserie chicken and pizza vans on different nights/a small circus also comes/plus local producers of Jams/wines/meats etc so there is lots to do. We hadn't been to the Vosges area before and Clos De La Chaume offers the perfect location for exploring whether on foot/bike or car. Wine routes /castles /mountains/ amazing walking and cycling are all on the doorstep. Within 10-15 mins drive are the amazing lakes of Longermer and Gerardmer - beautiful to swim in with breathtaking views. We saw plenty of leaflets for cultural activities, plus the Alsace- Lorraine area offers an exceptionally rich history and also many days out but with three young kids we were too busy cycling/swimming walking and enjoying the local Riesling. (not the children) The Vosges is a bigger version of the Lake district with SUNSHINE. Weather that ranged between 22-32 degree when we were there in August. It is also more accessible than the Lakes with better marked routes and paths for walking and often hosts the Tour de France. It's a stunning area and we are already seriously thinking about going back next year and asking for the same pitch!
