We have stayed on many campsites in France and this is a good one. The pitches are quite spacious, and most have some shade. We were very impressed with our washblock, it was simple but very clean and seemed pretty new. The pool is great with lots of sun beds on a terrace. There is also a separate heated indoor pool for the odd rainy days! The shop was a little small, but sold essentials such as bread and croissants. There was entertainment most evenings, which could be heard from our pitch, but it was family orientated and stopped at a reasonable time. One night we witnessed many kids walking around looking like snowmen - in fact there was a foam party. All good fun, although we watched rather than joining in! Staff were very helpful when we needed help to find a garage for car repairs.
The local area is really nice with lots of beaches, all very rocky at low tide. Pornic is a beautiful town to wander round and do some tourist shopping. St Nazaire and Nantes (Ile des Machines) worth a visit too. We have our own canoe and used it a couple of times from local beaches.
All in all a good place to stay, especially in good weather, although we managed to find things to do on the several days that the weather was a bit disappointing.
