has the following facilities on or around the site.
On arrival we were warmly welcomed and advised on the facilities.Allocated a pitch but we were advised we could change if not suitable, the allocated pitch was perfect for us.Pitches are all good size and well delineated with shrubs and hedges.Pitches had good cover of grass with no muddy patches and there were full sun, part shade and full shade places.Sanitary facilities were plentiful and very well maintained and clean.
Bar/restaurant/takeaway were very good and bread and croissants pre-ordered each day.
Pool small but adequate with plenty of seating and sun beds available.
Good location for visiting the beaches and the north of the island, traffic going south through the main towns was heavy and I suspect would be really bad in peak season but stay north of St. Pierre and you will be ok.Good choice of supermarkets very close to hand with an enormous LeClerc only minutes away. This island is made for cycling with allocated paths all over the island.Choice of beaches is excellent from good surfing to rock pooling, quiet and secluded spots can be found with free parking if you do not fancy biking to beach!
Isle de Oleron is very quaint and seems to be a time capsule of years gone by with small quiet villages dotted around.Main towns are well developed and worth visiting.Would appear to be the seafood capital of the region with plenty of choice of restaurants and fresh fish markets.Oysters are the main dish as this is the major French source with the ubiquitous "Moule Frites" available everywhere!
Loved our stay here and would definitely return, the site was first class and very well managed.

The campsite is an established facility run by a Dutch and French couple. There are other staff on site and English is spoken. The site is roughly split about 60% towards static caravans, permanent tents and safari tents and 40% for tenters and touring caravans. There is a good variety of full sun / partial shade / full shade pitches available – you should specify your requirements at the time of booking. Don’t forget to take toilet roll because it is not provided in the cubicles! Water points are dotted all over the site. Be warned there are a few biting midges about so take your jungle formula for evenings.
Onsite there is a bar and pizzeria. Food is basic but good and the beer is cold and on draught. It is possible to order bread for the mornings but there is no shop on site. the pools are warm water and clean. there are play areas as well on site.
This site would be excellent for families with younger children and older couples with no kids as I think older teenagers could get easily bored with the limited facilities available.
