The site staff are very welcoming. It is well placed for visiting many attractions in the area. The pitches are a good size and are amongst trees and hedges. The showers/toilet blocks are cleaned regularly and are good. You can purchase tickets at a discounted price to some attractions from reception. Supermarket quite near. As mentioned you do need to keep an eye out for the sign to the site. The site entrance is opposite a layby and access is very easy. The chateau at Cheverny is well worth visiting. Hope to return in the future.

Very well situated for all sorts of activities.

This review is for Les Saules

Very well situated for all sorts of activities. Many of the Loire chateaus can be reached by car and it is also on cycle network making quite a few available via pedal power. In any event the cycle ways are easy to navigate on very quiet. Most of them are off road and even those sharing a road are very quiet and safe. This was our second visit. The first was before high season and although the restaurant was not fully operational, the bar was. It did serve Pizza and fries. The second visit was during the season and the restaurant was operational and a great menu – worth a visit. The pitches are clean and reasonably spacious with good shade under trees that are not too dense to prevent sunshine at some point of the day. The owner and staff are very friendly. Many facilities available to meet most tastes. I am sure we will return sometime in the future

This is an ideal campsite for visiting Chateau's in the area.

This review is for Les Saules

This is an ideal campsite for visiting Chateau's in the area.Arrived after a prolonged wet period that effected all of France and a couple of pitches taken out of service, but we still managed to get a very good pitch large enough for car,van and awning.Very amiable and hard working owner kept the site ticking over nicely .Site very well used by tourers and at times seemed fully booked even for June. The swimming pool gets full sun and even though not large a indoor and outdoor pool and toddlers splash pool. There was no evening entertainment whilst we were here but has bar and snack bar.Restaurant did not open until July.Site is quiet well wooded but our pitch did get midday sun.Worth noting the when leaving Cheverney on the D102 the site entrance is not signposted until you see the entrance. Also take bikes as there are cycle routes plenty.
