A friendly, welcoming site with plenty of space in peaceful surroundings
A spacious and top quality site, in a peaceful setting to which the owning charity continue to add facilities. The luxury of its own vineyard, serving and selling its wines on site, and a fishing lake makes Domaine de l'Etang an ideal place to unwind. Children are equally spoilt for choice owing to the two swimming pools on site and adjacent play park. The cuisine and heritage of the region are a delight to discover, including the fascinating Troglodyte caves and nearby Brissac where you will find the tallest château in France.

The serviced pitch we we're provided was very large (approximately 10m2) and shaded. The swimming pool, ad hoc badminton court and children's play area was more than adequate. The toilets and showers were clean and close enough for those nighttime moments of crisis. The wine tasting took place weekly Fridays and was a good opportunity to socialise with other site guests whilst trying local produce. The shop had plenty of useful goods and were well priced - especially the wine ;-)There was live Brazilian music which was quite apt and fun. The only criticism we have is the restaurant food seemed to be microwaved although this may have been a one off? Overall a great campsite and certainly in our book of favourites :-)
