A friendly, welcoming site with plenty of space in peaceful surroundings
A spacious and top quality site, in a peaceful setting to which the owning charity continue to add facilities. The luxury of its own vineyard, serving and selling its wines on site, and a fishing lake makes Domaine de l'Etang an ideal place to unwind. Children are equally spoilt for choice owing to the two swimming pools on site and adjacent play park. The cuisine and heritage of the region are a delight to discover, including the fascinating Troglodyte caves and nearby Brissac where you will find the tallest château in France.
Run by Monsieur Seurat for a charitable association.
Countryside setting, less than a mile walk to the village and to Brissac château. Angers 11 miles, Saumur 21 miles, Puy du Fou 55 miles.
Very large pitches (from 110m2 upwards); open; all with electricity (16A) and shared water tap, a few with drainage.
A great 'retreat' site, ideal for day trips around the Western Loire Valley. Several restaurants and bars open in locality.
Friendly, welcoming site with plenty of space in peaceful surroundings and much to keep young children happy.

A lovely spot in the countryside, buy within walking distance of a super little village. Fantastic pitch sizes and great swimming pools, although a tad cold for my liking!
Facilities all clean and site is well managed. Nice little shop in reception, but the supermarket is only a short drive or walk away, where you will obviously get more for your money.
Leisure park across the road and offers a very good discount to campers at the site, so take some paperwork.
Easy to find following the instructions given by the club and not Sat nav!

Excellent site with large, flat pitches, hedged and mostly shaded. Reception and small shop very friendly. Stamps and postbox available there. Bread and pastries to be ordered before 6pm day before. Pretty 20 mins walk into Brissac, a charming town. Or walk from bottom of campsite through countryside to a dolmen and menhir (in a field with crops so only to view from a distance!). Long electricity cable needed on some pitches. Definitely will stay there again.

The serviced pitch we we're provided was very large (approximately 10m2) and shaded. The swimming pool, ad hoc badminton court and children's play area was more than adequate. The toilets and showers were clean and close enough for those nighttime moments of crisis. The wine tasting took place weekly Fridays and was a good opportunity to socialise with other site guests whilst trying local produce. The shop had plenty of useful goods and were well priced - especially the wine ;-)There was live Brazilian music which was quite apt and fun. The only criticism we have is the restaurant food seemed to be microwaved although this may have been a one off? Overall a great campsite and certainly in our book of favourites :-)
