I cannot stress enough how much we have enjoyed our stay at this wonderful little campsite in our family tent.(Wife and three daughters 13 & 10 yr. old twins and poor me ). This site is well worth a longer stay, rather than just being used as a stopover. The town of Duras and its surrounding areas make this a fantastic base and the town itself offers so much in the way of people watching from its bars and restaurants with Day markets and evening markets (seasonal). The Campsites facilities are varied with the fishing pond and Play area as well as ample fields to wander around and pick wild plums/blackberries etc. You are warmly welcomed by the owners. The site restaurant is of good value and quality (the sauce on the Magret of Canard is gorgeous (even though the Chef would not divulge its recipe!!)). With options for fixed price menu’s or A’ la carte. We are looking at when we can return not only to this area but to “le Cabri” as it served us well on many levels, some of which I hope I have highlighted above,

We visited this site in August 2012 with 2 adults & 2 young children in our large motorhome. We arrived onto the site very late after having exhaust problems on the motorway travelling down. I'd already rang the site owner to pre-warn him of our dilemma and I have to say he was absolutely fantastic. He couldn't have been more understanding and helpful - he showed us to our pitch but told us to move to a more shaded pitch in daylight for the girls as it was extremely hot, he took us to the local garage in the morning to help us with our exhaust problem, offered to ring round other garages, the list goes on! There was also another man on the site who helped out, who was also fantastic and helped my husband to repair the exhaust temporarily as the bits couldn't be sourced in time. Big thanks to both of them! The site itself was also fantastic, extremely laid back & I wasn't worried about the girls playing out at all with the other children. There was lots for them to do, play area, table tennis, slides, large open areas for ball games, the pool, picking plums! We didn't use the toilets and showers an awful lot but they were clean and tidy. I used the laundrette which was operated by prepaid tokens. There was a restaurant but again we never got to sample. The owners told us about a local evening market with music, stalls, food, etc which was super too, had a real French local feel to it. Overall, I would definitely visit again only this time for longer than 3 days.
