If you think that small is beautiful, you’ll love le Cabri.
With just a handful of pitches there’s masses of space on site for your unit and your family, meaning total freedom for youngsters while Mum and Dad can relax and enjoy the restaurant and bar terrace. On this great little British-owned site a day out heading east brings you to the Dordogne, west to the Atlantic beaches, or south to the Midi-Pyrenees. Alternatively, just explore the unspoilt Lot-et-Garonne, enjoying its vineyards, châteaux, villages, festivals, walking and cycling routes, fishing, gardens and rivers. Winter En Route Site
Le Cabri offers Club members not only a convenient overnight stop with easy access to Zaragoza via French A65, Somport Tunnel (toll-free in winter) and Spanish A23; but is also highly recommended for short breaks on the journey south. Two heated wash rooms with shower, toilet and washbasin. Live Jazz some Sunday nights. Supermarket 350 yards.

I cannot stress enough how much we have enjoyed our stay at this wonderful little campsite in our family tent.(Wife and three daughters 13 & 10 yr. old twins and poor me ).
This site is well worth a longer stay, rather than just being used as a stopover. The town of Duras and its surrounding areas make this a fantastic base and the town itself offers so much in the way of people watching from its bars and restaurants with Day markets and evening markets (seasonal).
The Campsites facilities are varied with the fishing pond and Play area as well as ample fields to wander around and pick wild plums/blackberries etc.
You are warmly welcomed by the owners. The site restaurant is of good value and quality (the sauce on the Magret of Canard is gorgeous (even though the Chef would not divulge its recipe!!)). With options for fixed price menu’s or A’ la carte.
We are looking at when we can return not only to this area but to “le Cabri” as it served us well on many levels, some of which I hope I have highlighted above,
- Towing: Easy
- Location: Country
- Suitable For: Families,Older couples,Peaceful break
Sites often charge for an additional vehicle, including a car towed by a motorhome. You should also expect to pay extra for pets and awnings.
