Predominantly used for overnight stays, although we stayed for 7 nights.

This review is for Les Bouleaux

Predominantly used for overnight stays, although we stayed for 7 nights. We enjoyed the tranquillity. The current toilet block is clean with nice hot water and decent showers. The new block is still being built. There were no washing machines and no facilities for emptying grey waste water. Also no external water point so had to use 1.5L water bottles to refill the tank! Great for exploring the wine region and the ancient town of Beaune. Plenty of supermarkets. Would return but perhaps for a shorter period.

Many seem to use this for an over night to break up a journey but we stayed for 3. The toilets and showers were kept very clean and the new block being built looks it will be of an equally high standard. It is a bit odd that there is no outside tap or stand pipe to fill up the aqua-roll but its really not that bigger problem. There is an Intermarche 5 mins drive away which sold the cheapest fuel of the whole trip !, the boulangerie opens at 7:30 selling lovely fresh bread and pastries for breakfast. The pitches are of a reasonable size with trees for shade Lovely cycle ride from the site, very little traffic, Chateau with nice grounds within 5 mins walk away. Beaune is well worth a visit - a lovely walled city with plenty to see. We would certainly return and stay longer

We have stayed here a number of times as it is an ideal stopover heading to the Med.

We have stayed here a number of times as it is an ideal stopover heading to the Med. The unisex toilets were always spotless and the dish washing area, also where the water taps are , are again kept clean.Yes big outfits could find manoeuvring difficult. But it is as described by the site as rustic charm in the country side and it certainly is. It has no children's play areas or pizza takeaways, just pure honest tranquillity. We will be going to France again this year and will stay over for a few nights to sample Beaune and the delightful wine tour.

This is a VERY basic site.

This review is for Les Bouleaux

This is a VERY basic site. The toilets are basically a hole in the floor! We were not told where to get water, facilities etc. The town of Beaune is about 5-10 minutes drive away and there are lots of good restaurants to visit. We would not visit this site again as towing with a twin axle caravan and the pitches were very tight! - thank goodness for our motor mover! Also, we were leaving at 10am and the showers were locked!
