Overview

Great for relaxing on a traditional, spacious site

You will be very well looked after by both the Rally Stewards and the friendly site staff. The site is ideally situated for exploring southern Brittany, particularly the Morbihan Gulf and its picturesque islands – bring your bikes, to make the most of the excellent local cycle routes. There’s a great atmosphere on site, with a good mix of regulars and new ralliers, all drawn to the south Brittany spring, one of the best times of the year.

Rally Stewards will be Peter and Joan Davison. Most rally pitches located together near to main facilities.  Typical activities (subject to demand) may include barbecues, boules, trips to the local château and cider outlet, fêtes and museums, quizzes, dice game, horeshoes, meals in local restaurants, bike rides, local walks, lunches and boat trips around the Morbihan Gulf.

Easy drive from port a warm welcome & tea from Rally wardens , helped to site van near water tap & toilets/showers, good planned trips & games By wardens( you don't have to join in everything) Help is there should you need it as wardens have great experience and nothing is a surprise to them everyone on rally mixed well & had been on rallies for years so their experience and information on where to go places to visit( how to get there) was great. Please think hard to what insurance cover you have, not only your vehicle but you and your partners medical cover(it will never happen to ME) you could save money by shopping around but if Something happens it is getting them all to start helping you! By getting cover from one point Should be a little quicker should you need help. I say this because of an accident(so simple a older gent missed the step coming out from his van) Because he had mixed cover the wardens had an Awful time getting his unit, his wife and him home So please think is the saving worth it? Please enjoy your holidays and think safe.

This review is for Lodge Club Presqu'île de Rhuys Rally

We stayed at Lodge Club for 11 nights as part of the club rally, run by the energetic Pete and Joan Davison. The pitches are generously sized and divided by hedges. Some are individual pitches, some in areas of about 4 pitches, so families travelling together may be able to camp close together. The site is about 3 miles from Sarzeau, which has some good shops and a useful weekly market. There are several supermarkets on the outskirts of the town. The site is an inland one, but there are lots of beaches about 5 - 8 miles from the site, with plenty of parking, much of which is free of charge. The area is pretty flat, and there are well marked cycle routes, 2 of which pass right beside the site. Rally activities included visits to a local chateau and a cider museum, an evening meal in a local restaurant, and several organised cycle rides of between about 3 and 15 miles, usually coinciding with local markets, so there was a chance to shop and/or have a picnic lunch before returning to the site. Evening rally activities included a weekly quiz night, a communal barbeque followed by a game of horseshoes, and an afternoon session of boules on the site boule pistes. All good fun, all light hearted and none of it taken too seriously, I am pleased to say! Nothing was too much trouble for Peter and Joan. This was our first experience of an overseas club rally, and I sincerely hope it won't be the last. It's no wonder that many people were staying for 3 or 4 weeks, or combining a stay at the Sarzeau rally with one or more others, to create a long summer holiday. Lucky devils!

Arrived on a motorbike for a tour of france. Excellent base for touring the area. The stewards (Joan and Peter) were helpful and knowledgeable about what the area had to offer. Enjoyed it so much may take the car and caravan next time instead of tent and motorbike and stay longer.
