Welcome to the Club’s new partnership with CampingCard ACSI
A worthy and appropriate successor to Freedom Camping, CampingCard ACSI offers many of Freedom Camping’s benefits but on a greater scale:

So what exactly do you get?
A handy, glove-box size guide, that offers almost 1,900 sites in 19 countries – a huge choice, from Scandinavia to Portugal and France to Croatia.
CampingCard ACSI, like Freedom Camping before it, is a pay-as-you-go system. Unlike pre-paid cheque systems, this means you have no money tied up – or lost altogether – in unused cheques.
Sites offer prices of either €11, €13 or €15 – simply excellent value. The prices include one night’s fees for a unit plus two people and one dog (where permitted), plus pitch, 6A electricity up to 4kWh per day and hot showers. Supplements are payable for extra people or extra vehicles, for any local taxes that apply; and also for extra pitch services you may wish to take, for instance higher amperage electricity supply or all service pitches, where these are available. On the few sites where tokens are required for showers, one token per person (for up to two people) per day is included in the price.

Feedback on the programme is encouraged by means of an online questionnaire, described in the guide.
Even with all these benefits, the guide costs only £11.50, with free postage and packaging to UK addresses.
The card, with the Club’s logo on it, is simply shown by the holder to the camp site reception on arrival on site, to qualify for the special discount prices – an even simpler system than Freedom Camping’s discount vouchers.
CampingCard ACSI is available for despatch from mid-December 2009 and is valid for the 2010 dates specified for each camp site listed. Some of these are open all year round.
This is a low season touring scheme, so the summer high season period is excluded. However, as summer high season varies from site to site, many sites do accept CampingCard ACSI during some dates in the first half of July or in the second half of August.

This new partnership between Carefree Travel Service and CampingCard ACSI will provide a big plus for the many Club members who tour the continent on a go-as-you-please, pay-as-you-go basis in low season. Members touring in the early summer and the latter part of the year should be aware that CampingCard ACSI’s popularity continued to soar and led to the 2009 guide’s being sold out by May of 2009 – so get your copy as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
