Having had four days at the Blackmore Site we wish to record our thanks to the site staff for a beautifully maintained site and for their friendly and helpful manner particularly over a busy weekend. - Mr Hunt

The village of Hanley Swan is a mile’s walk from Site. It has a Post Office, general store, butcher and a good pub.

The Malvern Hills are the backdrop to the Site. A network of paths crosses the Hills, including one running the length of the three major summits.

Great Malvern Priory has both Norman and Perpendicular Gothic architecture and unusual carvings.

Upton upon Severn has a selection of good restaurants and an awardwinning marina.

The city of Worcester is seven miles to the north. The City Art Gallery and Museum has a 19th century chemist’s shop, visit the Royal Worcester Visitor Centre or climb the 200ft cathedral tower.

The Three Counties Showground hosts many events, including regular antiques fairs and the Three Counties Countryside Show in June.

Ledbury, to the south west, is a fine black and white timbered town.

Follow the Elgar Trail by car to discover more about the famous composer.

Eastnor Castle has a deer park, arboretum and lake. It hosts events throughout the year.

Gloucester is home to Britain’s most inland port. Visit the Docks, with its antiques centre and the National Waterways Museum.


Did You Know

Fly fishing is available three miles from Site, with coarse fishing five miles away.

Worth Noting

Recreation Room with pool table and table tennis. TV Reception is poor in some areas of the site.

Eat Local

The Bluebell Inn at Ryall serves local produce and runs a minibus to transport campers to and from the restaurant. Great Malvern and Worcester both host Farmers’ Markets.
