Our new beautiful, peaceful Club Site at Bellingham opened in 2007. Set in the glorious Northumberland National Park, it is a perfect base for exploring this undiscovered part of England. To the east you will find the beautiful coast of Northumberland.

Bellingham – the Capital of the North Tyne Valley – is on the edge of the Northumberland National Park. It has a selection of small shops and pubs.

Kielder Water is the largest man-made lake in Europe and ideal for sailing. It is in the heart of Kielder Forest, which is excellent for walking, cycling and horse riding.

Kielder Castle Forest Park Visitor Centre is in a former hunting lodge of the Duke of Northumberland. It has details of local trails and other activities, alongside a children’s adventure playground and a Minotaur maze.

The North Tyne is famous for its salmon fishing. Canoes can be launched into the Tyne. Both are a ten-minute walk from Site.

Hadrian’s Wall is accessible by bus – the route goes the length of the wall.

Northumberland is known for its castles, the legacy of the Border wars of the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries.

The Pennine Way passes the Club Site.

Alnwick Castle starred in the recent Harry Potter series of films.

Newcastle, the first city of England’s north east, is only 35 miles away.

Many Newcastle museums, like the Discovery Museum, are free to enter.

Gateshead is home to Europe’s largest shopping and leisure centre.


Eat Local

Kielder Organic Meats is next to the Site. The Site shop sells its lamb, beef and pork from the 800-acre, family farm. The Riverdale Hall Hotel serves meals made from locally sourced produce, including Kielder venison and wild-caught salmon.

Worth Noting

Tent bookings must be made directly with the Site. WiFi (Wireless Internet) access available. The Pennine Cycleway passes close to the site.
