Holiday Site Managers and Assistants - Recruiting from 3 September 2012.

The Camping and Caravanning Club will be looking for Holiday Site Assistants to assist our Holiday Site Managers in ensuring all campers enjoy their stay on Club Sites in safety and to promote the good name of The Camping and Caravanning Club at all times.

If you have the appropriate customer service and operational experience gained in a service focus environment, then you may be the person we are looking for. Our recruitment window is open from 3 September 2012 until 12 October 2012.

If your initial application is successful, at the beginning of November you will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre day which will take place at our head office at Greenfields House, Westwood Way, Coventry, in January/February 2013. The assessment day will include 4 phases over the day and will be based on the following:

Customer Focus: This will include activities focused on social skills and the ability to integrate in a crowd and also give the ability for the candidate to demonstrate their own attributes which they believe will enhance their profile.
Technical Ability: A short exercise to test the candidate’s ability to use the internet, Microsoft Outlook and familiarisation with the Club’s booking system.
Project Based: This is a team based exercise in which the candidates are given a small logic based problem which they would have to derive a solution.
Club Focus: A general topic discussion regarding issues surrounding the Club.
After this process is complete an interview will take place with the successful candidates.

We employ mainly couples although there are a few openings for single people and all applicants must have their own unit to live in on site. Dogs are welcome.

The work is seasonal and, for a first year, the length of contract is an average of 16 weeks, from mid-May to the beginning of September although some people are lucky enough to receive a longer contract.

Full training will be given and basic uniform is provided together with a free pitch with electric hook-up for the duration of the contract.
